Beware of Satisfied People

I’ve been told that satisfied people don’t change. Be mindful of those you lend money to or extend credit; they might become satisfied with not paying you back.

This principle extends beyond financial dealings into other areas of life as well. For instance, if you allow someone to move in with you temporarily, they might become comfortable and never make plans to move out. Contentment can lead to complacency, where individuals lack the motivation to change or improve their situation. Whether it’s lending money, offering a place to stay, or any form of support, it’s essential to set clear boundaries and expectations. This ensures that your generosity is not taken for granted and that it fosters responsibility rather than dependency.
